Congrats to Chelle Christian and Zach Allen, who got married tonight in Harrogate. When she first talked to me about wanting sunflowers and wildflowers, I knew it was going to be beautiful. I ordered 60 sunflowers, but had to get six more. Can you imagine what that many sunflowers, along with wildflowers looked like? Here are a few sneak peaks. I wish them all the best for a wonderful life together.

Camo Garter
Hey, people, there are no hard and fast rules. On your wedding day, you get to choose.
When she asked me if I knew where she could get a realtree camo garter, I said, "No, but I can make one if you tell me the meaning of realtree." I got genuine realtree fabric and made one garter to toss and one to keep.

Pink Dahlia
If you are getting married in the next couple of weeks, and don't have your flowers yet, my friend, Linda, at Aunt Willie's Wildflowers has an overabundance of pink dahlias. I used them in a wedding, along with other wildflowers in a September wedding last year. The groom thought they were so beautiful that they couldn't be real.Saturday, July 7, 2012

Coomer-Harmon Wedding
Jessica Coomer and Robert Harmon were married last night at Waverly Road Presbyterian Church. They have been in love for what seems forever.
Overbay Photography took the pictures on the day of the wedding, you can see a sneak peak on their blog. My husband took these pictures of the flowers before the wedding. I think I know which flowers are the most beautiful that I have ever done, then something else seems more beautiful. There are all kinds of different tastes and needs for weddings. Only you can decide what colors you want and what formality, or casualness you love. Sunday, May 6, 2012
BHLDN
I was excited and thrilled with the new BHLDN, the flagship store in Houston. See the website at http://www.bhldn.com/. This is Anthropologie's wedding store. You can shop online. The front of the store had some very interesting dressy clothing, which could be worn for a casual wedding, and lots of great ideas for bridesmaids. (There were some beautiful green tulle skirts, which would look lovely with a plain white T for an outdoor wedding.) The middle store had accessories - gloves, shoes, and a whole wall of fascinators. The back of the store had wedding dresses and shrugs. Off to the side was a whole separate room of naughty little things, but in really good taste. When you're getting married, you might want to splurge on ruffled panties and a matching bra.

| Chinese Snowball Bush |
I thought of this when I was using another kind of flower. What if your flower girl, instead of carrying a basket, carried a three foot branch of an oak leaf hydrangea or snowball bush. They are so beautiful, but they shed something awful. As the little girl(s) walks down the aisle, she could just gently skake it, scattering a lovely amount of blooms.
