Coomer-Harmon Wedding

Jessica Coomer and Robert Harmon were married last night at Waverly Road Presbyterian Church.  They have been in love for what seems forever.

Overbay Photography took the pictures on the day of the wedding, you can see a sneak peak on their blog.  My husband took these pictures of the flowers before the wedding.  I think I know which flowers are the most beautiful that I have ever done, then something else seems more beautiful.  There are all kinds of different tastes and needs for weddings.  Only you can decide what colors you want and what formality, or casualness you love.

BHLDN

I was excited and thrilled with the new BHLDN, the flagship store in Houston.  See the website at http://www.bhldn.com/.  This is Anthropologie's wedding store.  You can shop online.  The front of the store had some very interesting dressy clothing, which could be worn for a casual wedding, and lots of great ideas for bridesmaids.  (There were some beautiful green tulle skirts, which would look lovely with a plain white T for an outdoor wedding.) The middle store had accessories - gloves, shoes, and a whole wall of fascinators.  The back of the store had wedding dresses and shrugs.  Off to the side was a whole separate room of naughty little things, but in really good taste.  When you're getting married, you might want to splurge on ruffled panties and a matching bra.

Anthropologie has different clothing, so you will find that the wedding attire is not what you would see at other bridal shops.  Enjoy!

Flower Girl Idea

Oak Leaf Hydrangea

Chinese Snowball Bush

I thought of this when I was using another kind of flower.  What if your flower girl, instead of carrying a basket, carried a three foot branch of an oak leaf hydrangea or snowball bush.  They are so beautiful, but they shed something awful.  As the little girl(s) walks down the aisle, she could just gently skake it, scattering a lovely amount of blooms.

Also, BCBG has a chance to win a wedding gown at http://links.eb.bcbg.com/servlet/MailView?ms=NTI4MDA3MQS2&r=NTQyNzM3MzY2MgS2&j=MTk3MDU2ODEyS0&mt=1&rt=0

Bridesmaids' Luncheon

Wouldn't this be cute for a bridesmaids' luncheon or a bridal shower?  You could even buy the cupcakes already decorated and just add the shoe and heel.  You could make this any brand you love, but I really wanted to do Louboutin.  I hope this isn't trademark infringement.  It's just admiration,  believe me.

The Award For Best Director Goes To...

Charity Clark/Nathan Shepherd Wedding

I love movies.  I see as many as I can at the theater, but, since we live in such a small community, I'm never able to see them all.

This past weekend was the Academy Awards, the season's best.  When I was watching it for the second time, I was particularly moved by Michael Douglas's introduction for the best director award.

A director is not someone you see, not someone you hear, not someone most people even think about or recognize.  So what does a director do?
"A director does everything imaginable to achieve a singular vision."

That's what I do for you on your wedding day.  After all the planning, all the phone calls, all the decisions you have had to make, all the lists, shouldn't you have someone like me to orchestrate your wedding?  You deserve someone very experienced to help you with one of the biggest moments of your life.  All of those little details must be handled by someone.  I can handle them without being told and without your even knowing that they exist.  Call me (423)943-2630.

PINK BRIDAL SHOW

Tomorrow is the Pink Bridal Show at  Meadowview Conference Center from noon until 4 p.m.  Please come out in this cold weather to see the flowers I have designed.  I am pretty excited to be exhibiting.  There should be a little something to fit the tastes of anyone.  Hope to see you there and bring along any of your friends who may be getting married as well as their mothers, fiances, or maids of honor.  This is my photography, which is about as good as my singing abilities.  You really need to see these flowers up close.

Flowers Are So Cheerful

Bright flowers can make the winter seem nicer.
